I know we just did "Animals", but after consulting with Lesley, decided to go with anyhow. As Lesley said "It's for the Birds" LOL
I can not call myself a bird watcher, I've just always found them interesting. And for me an abundant source of photo opportunities.

My first set is the Western Meadowlark. It's my favorite bird song. I have fond memories of sitting on the front porch with my grandmother listening to the Meadowlarks.

So lets see all your favorite, or not so favorite birds.

I think I can find a few. "Birds of a feather" that is.

Nice series Kaskazi. I'm interested in the Kori Bustard....are they a predatory bird?

Thanks Gigi. They are not predatory in the way that raptors are - they are quite omnivorous - insects, berries, seeds, eggs, but they will eat carrion and may also take chicks, small reptiles or rodents. This bird contends for a place as Africa's largest flying creature. They spend most of their time on the ground.

Wild birds, colorful birds, flying birds, perching birds, preying birds, and flocks of birds and you’ve all done them proud with your posts here. Thanks for hosting the challenge ETmom.
I haven’t been out with camera in hand much at all this past month but back in late January I did run across this……

Thank you everyone for your gracious comments on my posts and helping me identify my 2 mysterious birds. I've truly enjoyed viewing everyone's feathered friends that you've shared.
I've reached the end of my pics for this challenge. I know what you're thinking.... About time huh!

Captured this beautiful bird at camp last summer. I had no idea what it was. After a bit of searching with Cornell, discovered that it's a Summer Tanager.
It was a bit off it's usual range, they don't come up this far North.
