Another round of building images from this exhilarating town. In frame #7 we see an inscription in Latin, which I do not master - I would very much appreciate it if someone that knows Latin could provide a translation so that I can update my online album - thanks for any help!

Outstanding once again, Joe.
Another wonderful series. The buildings in numbers 1 and 3 seem to have the same problem on the right side. Building in number 8 show the windows tip in at the top. Very interesting. Love the birdhouse.
Great job. The buildings are very well kept-- including the bird house. Mahalo for sharing.

Thank you Barbara, so glad you enjoy these - and you have a good eye for details! I guess for these old buildings, warping of the wood was a standard feature. For that window in 8, it might be that the window is built so that you can pull it in to get some air as we often have this kind of feature in Europe, can't say for sure though.

Thank you JoAnne for your kind words. The buildings have the big advantage that they are still original construction, some of course renovated over the centuries as they had practically no war damage during WWII - love that birdhouse also, thought it was a nice departure from the big buildings, but still keeping with the "housing" scheme.
We just couldn't believe it, it kept going on and on and on - and not two buildings alike, it was fascinating and I am probably overdoing it a bit on this presentation - actually these are just a few, in my online albums, especially the "Full" version, there are plenty more ....
