In my experience using a canon EF lens with extender and the EF-RF adapter is that you can achieve focus but it won’t always be fast focus. Sometimes yes, other times it will hunt. Good luck! I decided it was better to sell off my EF lenses and go with native RF lenses.

I would listen to Gene. The Sport is better than the C. But using the 2x deteriorates image quality. Go for the 800mm f/11 at $899. If the light is there it will be ok and these new cameras are better at high iso's.
