I bet if you hooked him up to a generator, you could power the eastern seaboard for a year. Love these shots!

Lame language...maybe. But give him time. Right now, you can just settle for his being adorable.

I waited many years to get this dog! Finally could adjust working hours to have enough time to spend training him. Starting to train and see how he likes the agility game. He's a trip! They say the breed is "very active", that's pretty lame language to describe this dog.

Is it a border colllie?

Oh he is! In addition to agility training, I'm teaching him chess...

I never allow my wife's cat to make the first move and often offer him catnip (he's a junkie) to distract him.

Sorry, I just noticed you'd called it an Aussie. Does that mean Australian sheep dog?

This dog is a Miniature Australian Shepard, often called "Aussies".

He's an Miniature Australian Shepard. I don't know that I'm totally clear on the technicalities of names here... Australian Shepards, and Miniature Australian Shepards are a breed, and they are "Australian" in name only. An Australian Sheep dog, also known as a Kelpie, is a breed from Australia. I am open to being corrected here by others who can speak more authoritatively...

HA! You are so very correct!! Sometimes I'm sure he reads my mind. One of his favorite things is nabbing my socks, and then he seems to enjoy looking very very sad and guilty and reluctantly gives them up. My wife didn't think she was dog lover material, but she is soooo smitten, it's pathetic in a wonderful sort of way.
