It has been my experience that unless he asks for the truth (he never does), he isn't looking for it.

The CDC has announced that fully vaccinated people don't need masks outdoors unless in a large crowd. I think they are still being to conservative about what vaccinated people can do. The more differentiation between what vaccinated and unvaccinated people can do, the more people may decide to get vaccinated.

Many have jumped to all kinds of wrong conclusions. regarding my original question regarding the vaccine. Facts--I got the Moderna vaccine. All the "Science" said it would protect me from contracting or passing the virus. But all of the "experts" have not changed the recommendations and still advise and wear masks, both indoor and outside.. So either the vaccine does not protect or it does. And if the Experts did not change the guidelines what good is the vaccine? The vaccine either protects or it doesn't. If it protects a high percentage (over 98%) of the public ( I used that number because 95% of positives do not get symptoms) the regs should be relaxed. And because they have not why det vaccinated in the first place?

You might ask my 42 year old daughter that question. She is a "long hauler," contracted COVID 19 just over a year ago. Fortunately she was never hospitalized, but she still suffers from fatigue and joint pains. She will see a rheumatologist to, we hope, rule out rheumatoid arthritis. Fortunately she has tenure at the college where she teaches. She was never a gym rat, but was physically fit.
BTW, can you cite a source for this? "If it protects a high percentage (over 98%) of the public ( I used that number because 95% of positives do not get symptoms)...."

How many times do you have to hear the same answer before you stop asking your "dumb" (yes, DUMB) question?

You said, "Facts--I got the Moderna vaccine. All the "Science" said it would protect me from contracting or passing the virus. But all of the "experts" have not changed the recommendations and still advise and wear masks, both indoor and outside.. So either the vaccine does not protect or it does."

That is not correct. You use "contracting and passing" as being in the same category, but they are not.

The vaccine CANNOT stop you from "getting/catching/being exposed" to the virus. If it is around you it can get into you, and the vaccine does nothing/nada/zip to prevent that. It also does not stop you from spreading the virus. The ONLY thing the vaccine can do is boost your immune system to prevent the virus from replication in your body up to sufficient numbers to create symptoms and illness. Once the virus is in you there is nothing a vaccine can do to stop you from coughing it out again. And if it does replicate -- but not enough to give YOU illness -- you can be even more dangerous to others because you are now a carrier... until your immune system catches up and kills all of the virus in you.

So yes, you are PROTECTED AGAINST COVID disease in your body, but you are still a potential carrier and distributor of virus.

From Google...

"Can you spread Covid if you are vaccinated?

Kobayashi noted that experts still don't know if someone who is vaccinated can transmit the virus or not. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is "keeping a close eye" on COVID-19 cases in fully vaccinated people.Apr. 20, 2021

"Search for: Has anyone gotten Covid after being fully vaccinated?
Will the Covid-19 vaccine prevent me from infecting others?
NEW DELHI : COVID-19 vaccines protect against serious illness but transmissibility can still continue and inoculated people can pass on the infection to others, say scientists, warning against complacency in those who stop maintaining protocol after they get their jabs.Apr. 12, 2021

I suspect you are smart enough to do your own searches for information. Yet it amazes me that you do not understand plain and simple English... "getting" the virus is NOT THE SAME as "getting sick from the virus."

I guess you missed the news that the CDC has announced that vaccinated people no longer need masks outdoors. I agree that they could probably do the same indoors, but individual business might still require them rather than having people prove they are vaccinated.

Re: "getting sick from the virus: My wife went to the local doc-in-a-box about six weeks ago with an extremely sore throat. Diagnosis was strep throat. They gave her a shot and prescription and sent her on her way. While there, she agreed to submit to a nasal swab for Covid. Result was positive. They told her to come back if she experienced a high fever or difficulty breathing. She had neither and the throat issue succumbed to the antibiotics and the steroid shot they gave her. After conferring with our family physician, I went and got the same test. Results were positive. We still don't know how we were exposed since we had been pretty cautious about getting out of the house unnecessarily. Wore masks and distanced ourselves from other.

The only symptoms of any sort of illness in either of us was the sore throat she had. This very long diatribe was to say that if she hadn't had another problem, we would never have known we were infected and very possibly would have spread the virus among others. We have both now had the two vaccine shots (Moderna if it matters to you). We were both asymptomatic, but who knows how many people we might have infected if we had asserted our "legal rights" to live as we did pre-Covid? My family and my friends are precious to me and I would hat to have it on my conscience that I had infect someone and worse, caused their death.

Friends, please observe every precaution that you can. You might never show any symptoms, but you might unknowingly infect someone very dear to you.

The recomendations regarding masks and maintaining distances have not changed. Both Fauci and Biden have not issued new guidlines as a result of getting a vaccination. So why bother to get the shot?

That’s no true . There were no “ claims “ - certainly not from “ all science “ that the vaccines would prevent transmission.
It was hoped so but not claimed.
The only thing chained fir the vaccine was that it wound keep one from being so sick you would’ve hospitalized.

Don’t make things up ?

The only part of that quote that is mine is: "If he doesn't understand it by now, repetition will be of no value."

The software is screwing replies up on occasion.
