Just wondering about my fellow UHH members - what's your "go to" mode and file format? Just your "normal" settings please.

Me = RAW + MANUAL

Keep safe

No issues here, I was talking to a client yesterday who was a photographer too (but not real estate) - he asked what mode and file format I used natively - I replied manual and RAW - interestingly he had never tried RAW or any mode other than Auto or Aperture or Shutter priority - just thinking that maybe I'm in a minority.

Thanks for the 2 PMs with (massive) data from US and UK studies on this very subject - it's good to see I'm not alone.

Always only RAW.

Manual A & S + Auto ISO primarily.

Almost always shoot in Aperture Priority. As for format, DSLRs are all set for NEF (RAW) and Jpeg Fine. So, why manual?

I shoot RAW and aperture priority. When shooting birds with my 150-600mm lens I shoot auto ISO with max ISO at 3200 and will vary the minimum shutter speed to the subject and conditions. When shooting landscapes or people I still shoot in RAW and aperture priority but not auto ISO.
