Has anyone used these guys?? They're listing the Canon 28 to 105 for $789.00 with a one year USA warranty. Is this gray market?

L series?
If so Amazon has it listed at just over $1,000. Since good glass very rarely goes on "sale", I would say "Too good to be true".
If it's not the L series, but the f/4 - 5.6 at just under $400.
A quick google search for buyherephoto.com reveals not such wonderful reviews.
Thanks, it looked too good to be true!!

there are many and i mean many scam websites out there. save yourself a lot of trouble and pain and agravation. do what the pros do, shop at adaroma.com, b+hphoto.com, for new gear. THEY HAVE EXCELLANT REPUTATIONS. you will pay a FAIR price, not a dirt cheap fell out of the back of a truck into the trunk of a caddy owned by jimmy the weazel kinda price. photography like golf is not a cheap hobby especially for new equipment. save money buy used get better equipment at lower prices go to KEH.com. free shipping on orders over $100 this weekend. not an employee just a very happy customer. i would also add resellerratings.com to your favorites. every time someone has posted about companies ive never heard of, if checked on resellerratings they turn out to be scam artists 100% of the time.

AWESOME review site... thank YOU... very useful...
Thanks for sending the address for resellerratings.com It's a goldmine of vendor info.
One such scam artist tried to charge me extra for English Version of Nikon camera and the included battery charger.
There are dealers and then there are stealers.
I only deal with B&H. Love 'em. Very knowledgable people. If your not in the state of NY, there is no tax. Most hi-end stuff, like the "L" glass includes free shipping. You have 15 days, if you don't like something they take it back with a full refund(you pay shipping). They have a "Bill Me Later" program. After a 30 sec. credit check, they send you the lens and you have 6 months to pay it off with no interest. This is very handy with "L" glass prices. They don't always push you towards the more expensive stuff. I wanted the 100mm 2.8 macro, they said there was no need for the "L" version ($450 more), that the non-"L" was an amzing lens. They were right!!! I've been dealing with them for 8 years, have nothing negative to say!!
Hello pigpen,
Was the non-L you bought a Canon Lens or other?
Thanks
Do not buy from them. They are a bait and switch company.
You order something and they call to check your security code and try to badger you to buy a more expensive product. The BBB rates them a solid FFF.

It was a canon. Approx. $525, worth every penny. Also doubles as a great portrait lens, so it's not a one trick pony. Far enough away not to be in someones face, and with the 2.8, awesome bokeh!
