Just a quick question ... When the heck was World War Eleven? I may have missed a few sure but, 8 wars?!? Are we doing a Star Wars numbering system now? ... Askin' for a friend

These photos are incredible. The colourization just makes them so much more real. The one with the Finnish Soldier and his dog could have been taken yesterday! So fresh.

Great photos. I appreciate you sharing them.

I know nothing about "colorizing" photos. Please point
me to locations for further information. I can "Google"
but will probably turn up a "gizillion" useless links.

I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. Sorry to say I can't help with colorizing info. I thought they were well done and worth looking at. Perhaps one of the many experts on this site could help you.

There was a Finnish sniper in what was called the "Winter War" between Finland and Russia in 1939-1940 who had an amazing total, 500 kills in 100 days. Hard to believe. Google Simo Hayha for details.

Thanks for these images. What strikes me is that most of them were just recording commonplace scenes and events at the time they were made, but now offer a window into the events, people and a way of life that help to make the life we enjoy today possible.
