Interested in input. Harrier started hacking and I expected fur-bone bundle. Instead it vomited clear liquid. I thought I had better picture of the liquid--pic 3 has a long string and pic 4 has a little drool. Pic 5 it seems better. Pic 6, Like what are you looking at? Pic 7 off it goes seemingly none the worse; the blur is not intentional; the ground lighting was darker and I was focused on the spittle.
I've never seen any hawk (raptor) expel liquid throw up! You? Curious. Thanks.

Someone else posted behavior like this - maybe WDCash. I'll see if I can find it. Don't recall if the question was answered.

Seen it before with a juvenile eagle. Was at the nest because they were about to fledge. One figured out how to fly. The other only flew in a circle and back to the branch. After the third landing, it vomited. Was told later it died. Not sure if I still have the pics. I'll look.

Great shots of the Harrier. I'm jealous.

After he did his hacking, your 2nd to last image is excellent.

Quite an unusual opportunity. Nice captures. Did you offer Pepto-bismal?
