Got some great Rokkor lenses I'd like to use on my Pentax. Anyone have any thoughts about Fotodiox adapters?
Use one on my Ricoh GXR A 12 Leica mount with old Nikon lenses. Works fine, inexpensive and well finished.
I've used a couple of different products (for Nikon cameras and lenses) from Fotodiox and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again.

I've used them - work fine.
Great adapters - I have 2 - one Mamiya and the other Nikon F both "dumb versions to adapt to Sony FE. Solid build and fit well.
I've used them and well made and work. I missed the full electronics so went back to orginal lenes
I have used Fotodiox adaptors with no image issues. The one thing I will note is that some have a set screw to secure the adaptor to the lens. Others did not. My Leice R to Canon adaptor is used often. I also have the Topcon/Exakta to Canon adaptor which works equally well. David C.
I bought one to mount my fast Rokkor prime lenses on my Canon camera. I was disappointed because the focus is soft (a bit of a halo) until I close down the lenses a couple of stops. That kind of defeats my purpose for buying it. Having said that, the fit and finish is very good.
I've attached a couple samples taken with my auto Rokker 55mm 1.8 lens stopped down to f8 on a Canon 3Ti.

I have used a Fotodiox Pro adapter for Rokkor lenses on my Nikon F bodies. For a $35 experiment, it was worth the cost. I did not realize until I received it (my mistake, should have read the description more carefully) that there is a 1.4 power magnifying lens in the adapter. Therefore, my 200 MM Rokkor lens becomes an effective 280 mm. The one thing I quickly learned is how much better my 2020 Nikon lenses are than my much loved 1970 Rokkor lenses. It's a bit like looking at old slides projected onto the wall. Fun to use? Yes, certainly. Use for important photographs instead of current lenses? Not a chance.

If the adaptor has a glass corrective lens it will seriously impact image quality. They work but add quite a bit of chromatic and spherical aberration.

I used them for adapting Canon lenses to my e Mount Sony. Worked well wit newer Canon lenses. Touchy with older ones. Natives work best, they don’t use an adapter 😀
I bought a Fotodiox adapter to use with 3 vintage Contax/Yashica lenses on my Olympus EM10 mk iii. Works great, perfect fit.

I use their adapters and have not had any problems. Depending how it goes on your camera, the lens may be upside down when locked. It will look goofy at times but you will get used to it.
Have used adapters to fit 39mm screw Leica lenses to an E fit Sony body. Also Pentax screw lenses onto Sony body. That had a re-set screw, to assure the lens would be in the correct orientation. Good idea, to be able to read the aperture chosen after focus had been set.

The set screw I have on the M42 thread to Nikon adapter, allows me to rotate the M42 lens to see the set. / pre set aperture, prior to shooting. Useful idea.
