Hook, line, and...
Somebody probably wonders about the fish that got away...that took the hook and snapped the line, but could not get away the second time. Early AM in Sanibel, FLA. Hope you enjoy.

Unbelievable! I hope he doesn't bite down on the hook.
Great shot and amazing timing.

At this time of year, it is very likely going into the nest to feed the hungry chicks. I sure hope too.
Good capture. Every picture tells a story. The story here is that the fish would have had a slow, lingering death, dragging the sinker, the sinker getting snagged and the fish unable to feed would die from starvation.
The bird flies to a tree where it perhaps has a nest with chicks. The bird eats the fish. The hook gets lodged in its gullet or intestine. The bird tries to fly away, the line and sinker become entangled in the branches of the tree. The bird dies a slow and agonising death from starvation, any chicks will starve too. Nice picture.
