Since the woodchucks are not indigenous to Pikes Peak, I'll agree.
Marmot. Woodchucks hang out in soy bean fields and such places.

There are different species of marmots. I took this picture of one on Copper Mountain in Colorado.

They do look like a Gtround Hog.
Yes, they sure do and I thought that was what it was until I read where the picture was taken but I was confused about the coloration because I've never seen a groundhog that dark.
