UHH page navigation change

Is it just me or UHH has actually changed the way to navigate pages?
I could no longer jump pages in a thread.
The selection forces me to go to the next page or the last page only if the thread is short or first page, previous, next & last page if the thread is longer.
Before there where a list of pages and i can jump up to 4 pages at a time.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I understand updating the site but I'm not sure that change for change sake is a good idea.

Yes it has changed the way to navigate. You can still jump around but I believe not until the thread has 14 pages in length.
Myself it makes it harder to go in and out of and keep track of what page I was on if I venture to another subject and than back again.
You can change by the nav bar at top by replacing the number of page you want to get to.
Example:
https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-665456-1.html
This is showing page 1
If you want to go to page 5, change the -1 to read -5 and press enter.
It will take you to page 5 of the tread you are in.
Hope this helps!! I don't care for it but it works.

It does rub off the wrong way when suddenly things are unfamiliar. Specially when the change was not meant to solve any problem.

Have you changed your profile to "show jump to page on long topics." Do not know how many pages are considered a long topic.

Yeah, that change was definitely not a good one. I’m not too fond of the puke green on the buttons, either.

You can also go into your profile and reset some of the features such as the “jump to” page box. You have to scroll through all of them and reset them which takes time.

Sometimes there is a need to return/jump to a specific page. Skipping some pages make its quicker.

You might want to enable "jump to page" custom view setting in your profile. That offers the quickest way to get to a specific page.
