Question to all the members, how much have your creativity changed since this virus started?. For example, some members started with micro photography, others went to the mountains for complete isolation, some went to the ocean just be really away from everyone.
I think it will be interesting to hear from the members. It will be nice to include pictures. This way your work can be display to everyone here.

All of Florida Wetlands are open, I wear a mask and we social distance. Nothing else has changed. I am happy because it seems over night the Great Egrets have returned to my favorite wetlands. Happy, happy, happy. Below is a image of a Great Egret in mating colors doing his best to entice a female to come to his nesting site.
PS. all of our restaurants are also open, and the beaches and all of the state parks. My camera is over heating taking so many images, we are up and running as normal, hats off to our great governor.
Sony a9, Sony 200-600 mm lens.

Well, I live just a few short blocks from the Atlantic Ocean, and a short bike ride to the Delaware Bay. Haven't ventured out of the house much since this whole mess started. Seems that lots of people from out-of-state areas hard hit decided to head my way and stay. Of course, they brought the virus with them - hence the natives are pretty much forced to stay put. Such fun - NOT! At least I've had both doses of the Moderna vaccine and hubby just left the house to drive about 75 miles to get his second dose. Heading out to visit son at the beginning of March and to do some rock climbing. Hoping to be able to get back out shooting sooner rather than later.

A couple of shots from when I did get out to shoot alone on a deserted area of the beach.

Nothing really new as to types. But some things I have not been doing. As usual shooting flowers around my yard, indoor close ups of my sea shells, and even a few stops to photograph flowers around the neighborhood. Things I have not been doing. Pretty much have avoided people. Obviously only restaurant take out. Not that I would be photographing that anyway. The real bummer is we have moved to the Pismo Beach area in May but have not been to the Pacific Ocean even once yet even though we live less than a mile from the Beach. We know of many great location for photos from previous visits to the area in past years. There are natural areas and botanical gardens around too.

I am curious as to why you don’t go to the beach. I am in the Carpinteria area and photograph at Carpinteria, Santa Barbara and Goleta beaches, wearing a mask of course.

Yeah, well I'm not gonna bake Corona a cake for this anniversary. Frankly, I've found the experience so depressing that I have taken a YEAR LONG hiatus from picture making. Death to COVID!!!

Thank you! After shooting for years from a prone position in wet sand and tidal pools, sand in the pants is no big deal any more. The last American Oystercatcher shot was taken in high winds. What looks at first like an out of focus area is actually blowing sand. Mom had one chick already tucked under her, and the other one was trying to find his/her way in. BTW, that shot took a 3 1/2 mile hike out and back. Didn't mind it at all. I never do. IMO, it is so much more enjoyable to shoot this way than from a raised board walk loaded with other photographers. Went to the Alligator Farm twice 2 years ago, and that was enough!!

Other than having COVID and surviving, I've been staying at home and working from home. I don't get out and go anywhere other than to the store and the doctors. Seems, while I had COVID, they ran a lot of tests on me and found other problems. However later in the spring, my wife and I are taking a road trip to the midwest.

Like others, I have been largely confined to the yard and neighborhood walks. The recent ice storm gave our dogwood tree and nandina bush a nice coating. Because a freezing rain was still falling, I used a TG-5 for these shots.
