Moonrise over Kanansis lake in Waterton Canada

The picture was taken in Waterton Canada Glacier National Park looking into the USA about 10% of the park is in canada the the rest is in Montana. The hotel there is only open 4 months out of the year the rest of the time they are shoveling snow. Late August is the time that the moon is in that position and full. I took this shot 2AM in the morning

Very nice. Too bad there was wind on the lake, otherwise it would have been a once in a lifetime mirror reflection shot. I understand that the wind blows across the lake 90% of the time day and night. But it's still a keeper.
