Ohhh, very good shot. And with the 800mm the bokeh is perfect.

Now that's a great shot! Nice framing, good DOF, tack sharp. How on earth do you get such a great shot? I've never been able to do any bird that nicely.

I just got the RF800mm. The hawk just happened to sit in a very nice spot! The lens is “only” $900, weighs 2.77 lbs so quite easy to hand hold! Many scoff at the fixed f11, but for the price and weight it has done very well with good light. I posted a bunch of duck photos that were my first shots other than the hawk, and many turned out well. I knew going in it would not be a low light lens, but $900 vs $10,000+ and lots heavier and bigger for the L pro type lens, I can live with this one!
