First attempt with lasers, and posting an image.

I've become encouraged to post something I've shot. During cold winter days, I want to continue shooting, and attached is my first attempt. I'm using two lasers, one red, one green, and a Sworojski crystal.

I've never posted an image before, so I'm hoping this works.

Thank you leftj. I have a gazillion more ideas with lasers, transparent items, even in water. This encouragement will push me forward. Thanks.

Beautiful and creative, really like the star bursts. I see some gaps in the red, is this from the laser pulsing? Thanks for a new (to me) idea. In the future be sure to check "Store Original" so we can see the best view.

Hope you are well versed in the hazards of working with lasers, as shooting them into smoke, fog, water, and glass or crystal can give some strange and/or dangerous results. Even as small as 3 milliwatts can damage eyes, but I bet you know this.

Very interesting! A variant of this would be to suspend the crystal somehow (on a thread? Not sure) so that no surface is near it, and then shine a laser thru. I'm wondering if that could then project a regular looking diffraction pattern onto a wall which could be photographed.
