Stay buckled up. A small glimpse of reality even considering the new 100 million doses in 100 days program. 100 million doses = 50 million individuals receiving their 2 doses each. At the rate of 50 million dosed twice in 100 days with a population of 325 million = 650 days. To curtail the virus (herd) likely need maybe 65-70% vax coverage instead of 100% vaccination rate still = 422-455 days.
Unless it can be tripled to the 3 million a day range it is going to be another lost year. With more vaccines on the horizon perhaps it will. Combined with whatever immunity those already infected may have the timeline will be shorter but it will not be Summer 2021.

Completely agree, it is this type of life style that keeps the damn virus going which screws it up for the rest of us.

I have no issues with going outdoors or camping etc, but mixing with friends and visiting people that is the reason why this keeps spreading. If everyone stopped meeting for two to three weeks the virus would end because it can only live if it finds new hosts all the time. If you stop mingling the virus would run its course in the bodies it is in and there would be an end to it. It does not take long, but people keep meeting and spreading it, that is the problem.

The virus will probably not run its course. Not all will be immunized by the time early vaccinations start wearing out, also mutations are occuring now and will continue - today vaccines are supposed to handle current mutations, but may not in future.
I will get immunized, but many will try to avoid such, even many in healthcare are not sure about it. Those that do not will also continue the virus.
I live as normally as possible, dining inside, see friends and being with grandchildren, etc. No fear, but wear mask when required, if Biden declares 100 days requirement I'll abide, but not outside though.

I'm getting tired of the virus being used for an excuse to ruin businesses and take away our constitutional rights.

We are all tired of this virus. I am tired of it because my wife had it and I had to wait on her for a couple weeks. I am tired of it because I had it without symptoms, and I felt fine but had to quarantine all the same. I am tired of people complaining about how it impacts them without considering anyone else. I am tired of people who complain that their "freedoms" are being limited in order to reduce transmission to others. I am particularly tired of people who claim that the virus is a hoax designed to destroy businesses and jobs. I am tired of people who deny that science is the way to fight this virus.

Consider yourself lucky, I too live in Pennsylvania (western) and was told that it will be May or June before those of us in our 80's can get the vaccine but only if we're willing to wait in line and there will be no priority status for older people.

Luck us in Wisconsin, our Supreme court overturned our Governor concerning closures stating against Constitution. That being means you can hunker down or not. I & my wife haven't, my brother and his wife have.
We wear masks as requested (not mandatory). But also enjoy normal liberties from prior Pandemic.
