If some of these statements violated the law, how come Barr, trump supporter and appointee running the Justice Department, has not brought proceedings against the people who uttered them?

I don't think Frenchy is saying they should be prosecuted. I think he is saying that that those statements are as bad or worse than Trump's statements, so using the standard that the Democrats are using for Trump then they are all guilty of the same thing.

In other words, since no one has gone after them the impeachment of Trump is all politically motivated and he did nothing.

Actually, this is EXACTLY the kind of "military parade" that Trump would have wanted... so he should be really pissed about this.

There is yet another difference here... the Dems saw this rhetoric as nothing more than bluster to make a point, unlike the Repubs who took DJT at his word and acted... like sheeples.

Perhaps what differentiates them is the difference between statements by the President of the United States and statements by others not occupying that bully pulpit?

Yeah, no...not really. I am pretty sure Trump prefers his fans. I'm not saying he'd send the 25 thousand troops away. The more the merrier.

As far as I can see, everyone is banned, except networks of course, and celebrities from attending the inauguration. So, like 150-200 national guardsmen, err guardspeople (just ask Nancy P.) per attendee?

Well that certainly is going to illustrate the cost to benefit ratio we can expect out of the Biden Administration.
