Well done - love the feather detail and sharpness on 2 and 4. Great light.

Took a side trip to photograph birds at Farmington Bay (Utah) with my wife and granddaughter. The Eagles start to come into the Refuge this time of year. I saw a couple of eagles, coyotes and a some other raptors, but these photos are of some American Kestrels (now my granddaughters favorite bird because they are "so cute").

My last post was of an American Kestrel in our back yard so now these peaked my interest.

Enjoy,
Steve

Great series. You're so fortunate to be able to get this close to these cautious birds. By the way, since the emotion you described is so much shared with other UHH's, I think you meant to spell the word "piqued", not "peaked." Peeked, peaked, piqued, all pronounced the same, but with very different meanings.
Looking forward to your next posting.

Jeff,
Thanks for your comment and for pointing out my misuse of “peaked.” Now if I can just remember next time my interest piques.
