Are you referring to the PSE "feature" of storing your images with Adobe on-line, directly from the program?

I read somewhere that this "feature" is no longer offered with PSE 11. I did not pay much heed as I never used it anyway with previous versions.

I doubt very much that Gimp has a cloud feature available.
It is a free program, and very powerful, but clouds cost money by the companies providing them.

Flash disk? Yes maybe.
My personal choice is external hard drives.
This is the way I have my images organized:
One set on my computer's hard drive (right now this is my laptop, which I can access from the desktop as well).
One set on each of two external hard drives.
I do not delete the images from the camera's SDcard till I have made sure they are transferred to the three drives.
I use the images on the computer's hard drive to work on them, but save them with a different file name - I never delete the originals (unless they are so bad I can't do anything with them anyway).
The laptop goes with me when I go out, one external drive stays at home and one external drive stays at my son't house.
I have an inborn distrust of clouds (regardless of how many times I am told they really are trustworthy, inexpensive, etc. etc.). Companies can and do go out of business without a moment's notice, then your images are gone forever.
To me it is not a luxury to have my photos in three different places - they can never be taken again.

OK, enough ranting, I hope this is of some help to you.

I like your approach Esther. :) Being a tad OCD (or so my friends tell me, ) I like being in control of things, and the security of my photos is waaay up there. Cloud might be promoted as a good idea, but for me, I don't like someone else having control of my 'stuff' - they could go out of business overnight, then where would I be??
