This female Hentzs Orbweaver (Neoscona crucifera) invited a honeybee to (become) lunch. A mistake the bee will not soon repeat.

Ewwww. I got some close-ups of a big ol' garden spider swaddling a fat, juicy grasshopper -- and had the cold shudders for days .
