The Canon LC-5 Wireless Controller Set is an extended range infrared strobe-type wireless control system designed for professional and advanced amateur users of EOS cameras with the N3 remote control socket (EOS-1Ds Mark II, 1Ds, 1D Mark II, 1D, 5D, 7D, 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D, D60, D30, D2000, 1V HS, 1V, EOS 3, etc.) The LC-5 remote system is very handy for taking pictures of subjects that are difficult to approach, or to minimize vibration for close-ups and time exposure.
The remote fires the camera from a maximum distance of 300 ft. (90m), and several sets of LC-5 remotes can be linked together for greater distances. There are 4 control modes: single exposure, continuous exposure, test, and a 3.5-second delay mode. The 2-stage switch permits individual control of metering and shutter release, and can be switched to single-step mode if desired. Three transmission channels are available to prevent interference between adjacent units, as well as the "All" position for operating several cameras from 1 individual transmitter to multiple receivers.
The LC-5's receiver can be mounted on the camera hot shoe, but the set also comes supplied with a mounting bracket that leaves the hot shoe free for a flash. It is powered by 8 AA alkaline-manganese, NiMH, or NiCd rechargeable batteries (4 for transmitter & 4 for receiver).

The remote will fire the camera shutter from up to a maximum distance of approx. 300 ft. (100 m), and several sets can be linked together.

There are four control modes: single exposure, continuous exposure, test and 3.5-second delay.

The 2-stage switch permits individual control of metering and shutter release, with similar functions to the camera shutter button, and can be switched to single-step mode.

Three transmitter channels are available, plus an "All" position for operating several cameras from an individual transmitter via multiple receivers.

The receiver can be mounted on the camera hot shoe, but the set also comes supplied with a mounting bracket that leaves the hot shoe free for a flash.

Powered by 8 AA alkaline-manganese, NiMH, or NiCd rechargeable batteries (4 for transmitter and 4 for receiver).

Are you sure? I thought the LC-5 controller will operate the 5D Mark II and onward but if I am incorrect please clarify for me.

I know the 5D Mark III is more advanced than the Mark II. When I bought the Mark II, I was impressed by its versatility. Later on I learned that not all flashes work well. I even learned that a Specific Wireless File Transmitter would be more expensive since Any WFT would not work.

Thank you for clarifying this information for me.

Even though the Mark II has limitations it is still a fantastic camera worthy of the Canon name.

Hi Tom,
If your Canon wireless LC-5controller is still available, I am interested. You can email me at nikolatesl@aol.com. I will be using it with a Canon 5D MkIII. According to the above, that should not be a problem for me...Correct?
Please contact me at:

nikolatesl@aol.com.

Please provide me with the information to send the payment through Paypal.
Thank you,
