Thanks, AzPicLady. I had similar thoughts to yours but also felt the black and white brought out things that color masked a bit.

Your B&W is extremely well done (I would expect no less from you!). And I really like the boulder. However, in this case I prefer the colour version for two reasons. 1) Part of the wonder of the Cliffs is their colour and all the shading. That gets sort of lost in the B&W. 2) The colour version shows better separation of the boulder from the cliff. In the B&W it seems to melt more into the cliff and the separation is starting to get lost.

Love it in B/W Would you be so kind as to tell me what highway this is on.
I have been there, but I did not write down where it was.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the visit and comment. The highway is 89A. The easier way to find it is to search for Vermillion Cliffs. Highway 89A is just to the south of the cliffs. Another way is SW of Page, Az.

Both color and this are great! To me, B&W focuses us on the massive power of this unusual formation

Looks great, Bob! Has an alien/other-worldly look to it in B&W.

Thanks for stopping by, drobvit. I agree. That area has some incredible scenery and some very alien appearances to it.
