24-70mm or 50mm-S on the Z6ll
200-500mm on the D7200
But the 200-500mm has been used the most since I put in new bird feeders.

If you filter and count your images in Lightroom, what surprises did you find? Do you use your own usage data to plan to sell unused lenses / cameras? Or maybe, to change the lenses you'll use more in 2021?

The circa 1981 Canon FD 200mm f/4 macro was my #1 used lens for keepers (mounted to a Sony a7II). Merging all the extended configurations, last year's #1 lens was the second most frequent in 2019, the EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM (mounted to an EOS 5DIII).

Thanks for the reminder! I would have sworn it was my 24-70 f4 S on Z7, but I I was very surprised to see my 70-200 f4 had the most usage and my newest lens, the 24-200 came in a close 2nd. I sold the 70-200 shortly after I bought the 24-200. Makes sense.

Should have done this analysis before, I guess. I do miss that lens! Cheap to get a used one on mppb.com...or maybe the 24-105 paired with a 100-400 when they come to market!

For what little photography I did last year, it was my 90mm macro lens.

This thread has served to remind me how few pictures I took during 2020.
Got to regroup.

I'm with you, Mike, being surprised with the cold numbers vs the fond memories. For me, the lenses in the 3 to 5 positions were telling, including lenses that have never been used as much as in 2020, with another specialized macro prime taking a slot. I guess for a long stretch of May to September, I did only flowers, and bees, and similar visitors, where normally I'd be out at airshows.

Sony 18-105 g lens on my a6000. I also have the 18-200 for more reach but the 18-105 is used about 90% of the time.

On a D-850 I used the 24-120 for most of the time . Wish they made a 24-200 for F-Frame .

Easy. D850 with Nikon 70-200mm, almost exclusively. Just acquired Nikon micro 105, but haven't used it yet-looking forward to inspiration and better weather.
