when the salk polio vaccine came out we got it in a sugar cube. why not this new vaccine?
doesn't it work orally?

It has been many years but I recall getting a polio shot, by needle, in my school auditorium along with about 100 other kids. Maybe sugar hadn't been invented then.

Be serious yourself.

So you get to be the one to decide what is posted on this forum? He is researching it by asking others for help. It cracks me up when losers such as you tell others to "look it up" when a question gets asked. If you don't want to offer advice or an opinion then shut the fxxk up!

The Attic is not the place to seek advice, engage in meaningful research, or reach well-documented decisions.
It is a play pen for adolescent chatter.

So you are the one who decides what is appropriate and what is not. Got it.

I strongly suggest you don't answer him. Unless you have nothing better to do.

The sugar cube first appeared in '55, or 56.

Have you considered having the nerve between your eye teeth and your rectum severed. It helps alleviate one's crappy look on life.

From Wikipedia:
The first successful demonstration of a polio vaccine was by Hilary Koprowski in 1950, with a live attenuated virus which people drank.[8] The vaccine was not approved for use in the United States, but was used successfully elsewhere.[8] An inactivated polio vaccine, developed a few years later by Jonas Salk, came into use in 1955.[2][9] A different, oral polio vaccine was developed by Albert Sabin and came into commercial use in 1961.[2][10] It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines.[11]

It was the Sabin Vaccine that was on a sugar cube. It was a dead polio virus. The COVID vaccines work changing DNA.

No, the vaccines do NOT change DNA.
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/different-vaccines/how-they-work.html

The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are mRNA-based. The mRNA tells our bodies to produce the same proteins found on the surface of the virus, and then our immune system attacks this protein. The immune system then remembers this protein and fights it much faster the next time it is encountered, as in a real COVID infection.

Thank you, I had the Salk vaccine, no sugar cube back than.

We were *just* discussing this!
I got the needle. Then the cube. Then the jet gun booster. On the left arm/shoulder. Like everybody.
Then some snowflake moms got involved, and wanted their girls' shots on the inner thigh.
We all had to raise our sleeves to show the scar. Except for those girls.
Coach, nurse and doctor- 2 males. And clipboards.
"Put you leg on the chair and show me yours."
Bat rasterds wouldn't let me help.

Sissy.
Don't get diabetes.
I give myself 4 shots per day.

Scotch? Bourbon? I like Jaegermeister myself.

Sorry, I just could not resist. Diabetes is a serious health matter, and I was not laughing at you; I hope it was with you.

Merry Christmas... and many more.
