An Action to create a mat around a photo was mentioned in another post called Sharon’s Mats.

I wanted to make some changes to this Action and in the process I created step by step instructions.
I would say that the experience level would be for a PS beginner to moderate user.
I created this for my use and then decided to share. Hope I didn’t step on any illegal boundaries.
I've included a Word Document & PDF file. This is a 5 page file.

Curious what your tutorial gives us that Sharon's doesn't. Admittedly, I just skimmed over your instructions and will cover it in depth a little later but is the intent to add a frame around the mat?

The intent was to show how to create an action. I needed to change a few items and after I wrote down what I did I thought I'd share

I was the one that did the original post on Sharon's Matts. Did you tweak it for the better? I can't imagine that it would work any better than the original action. Did you add some improvement steps in the action?

If there is any illegal boundaries, I don't think you need to worry. Legal, maybe LOL.

Not really. I needed a bottom heavy mat so I added that. Just thought someone might benefit from my notes.

Thanks for taking the time to do that. I printed out a photo once using the matts. If you put the image in a frame and view it from a normal viewing distance you have to look really close to see that it's not a real matt.
