1930 Ford Model A Pickup, "Flying Quail".
Beautiful hood ornament and vehicle. Well done as usual. Please stay safe over the holidays and keep on sharing.
Great ornament and could not be on a better vehicle for that perfect fit.
I have never seen one of those. Were they standard on the truck, or was this something someone added? Love the photos of the ornament and truck too.

As far as I know, Model As were fitted with a plain cap when new. The "Flying Quail" was an accessory ornament many got for the years 1928-1932.
Nice work shooting the old boy.

Nice. I remember the days of hood ornaments. Now they are a thing of the past.
Another nice series! I agree that the hood ornament is most likely an aftermarket addition. Very nice street-rodded PU, but the compact cab can make for an uncomfortable driving position.
Great looking truck and shots, KT.
Let me be the first to say it: They just don't make 'em like they used to.
Nice photos.

Beautiful - and the perfect color! I haven't been to a show in several years, and I sure miss it...
Reminds me of my Green Ford Ranger! No hood ornament, but I did put the letters (LONE) above the side model name. Judging from the wheels and tiresw on the Ford in the picture, I'll bet it is more powerful than mine was! Very nice pictures....I do appreciate old cars and trucks! Thanks.
