The GOP is accusing any plan to improve health care, education, or just about anything else not working well in our country as Socialism
There are Countries that have Health Care that is less expensive & more efficient -- Many are in the EU one of them is Denmark -- Which by current GOP definitions they would term Socialism
No, I'm not moving to Denmark I'm staying where I was born & belong
LOL, and education? Do you really think that education in this country has good from world leading to one of the worst systems in the developed world because of a lack of funding? Really Ken?
Absolutely ---
Prior to Prop13 (which I Mr. Stupid voted for) Ca had one of the best low/mid/higher education systems in the Country -- That's no longer the case -- Fed grants to State Colleges allowing them to lower their costs plus for Scientific Research -- Not one that thinks College should be for free but with Fed support, State Colleges could be made affordable

Perhaps you are not capable of understanding that there are no purely socialist countries in the world. There are many that mix some socialism into their countries, like Canada's medical system and the United States' Volunteer Fire Departments.
You really need to expand your horizons and perhaps to borrow a suggestion from LWW, read a book.
Then you'll be more prepared to understand the issue.
you missed the boat again, scared frank

the vast number of countries with "single payer" rely on the US for most of the health care advances/ Most of the research is done in the US. It can cost over 1 billion to bring a product to market. Single payer countries (with a few exceptions) don't have to pay anything. If we go to a single payer system medical research will sustain a crippling blow. Furthermore I edo not want Government hacks making medical deciscions.

So, in K-12 we used to lead the world, we still lead the world in spending per pupil, but we have fallen some 25 places among developed nations, and you want to say that lack of funding is the problem? Really?

You keep asking the same question -- I provided an answer -- Or better yet the beginning of a way of addressing the issue -- Other than a dirty elbow -- What's up your sleeve
Supreme Court shot Trump down with one sentence today.

So, don’t use TRi-care or Medicaid or Medicare or any other State based healthcare like Hawaii’s plan or Massachusetts’ plan. That horse is long out of the barn.
https://pnhp.org/what-is-single-payer/faqs/Physician’s are getting on board.

Are you now going to try and trade insults with me? I am only asking if you can explain our fall in educational standings given that we spend more per pupil than just about any other country in the world, I am asking if you actually are going to say that it is a funding problem and not a systemic problem?
Already told of my personal experience in CA with Prop 13 (reduction in property taxes) that resulted in a drastic defunding of our States school's systems -- With my States example it was a Statewide "systematic" defunding
That's about it for me --

State based insurance is NOT mandatory and you have the right to live somwhere else. Medicare is also NOT mandatory. It is also a paid for benefit I paid for it, and my employers (as a perq)also. They are NOT single payer. SINGLE Means government ONLY thats why its called SINGLE PAYER

Obama's socialism what a stupid ill-informed statement. Americans have no idea what socialism means and have been brainwashed all their lives by the Commie threat which is a myth, you have more chance of meeting Moses than the States ever becoming in any way shape or form socialist. The main reason being the average American not all are very materialistic.
Simple [minded] imaginary class, but in reality life is not an all or nothing at all... socialism, capitalism are on a dimmer switch and not an off on ... all or nothing switch... good, great, society is a blend of both. Socialism is not every thing owned by the state, not every thing given. To be great the citizens need a living wage, universal health care, and the metric system would bring the USA toward being a great nation similar to those of the industrialized world.
The USA is behind in so many areas while we beat our chest and proclaim our greatness. The Trump hat is a strong message that positive change is needed, if only he had carried thru with making our nation great again. At least he admitted that our nation is not presently great, else how could it be made great "again?"

Perhaps.
Perhaps you can explain why the logic behind it is faulty?
