This mom and chick were inseparable on the beach, except when mother would briefly leave for food while skimming a sandbar protected bay of the Atlantic. The little chick were go crazy, waiting and calling for her to return. They were cute and interesting beyond description!

They love to sing while in download! :-)

This is absolutely top notch and is what wildlife (bird) photography is all about. The interaction of the adult and chick is amazing, and I love the way the adult is apparently protecting the chick with and outstretched wing. And, technically, you have provided a very nice and well processed presentation. Everything is good about this photo. If it were mine I would consider printing and hanging, and, seriously, consider submitting it to contests the likes of Natures Best and Audobon. You would be considered along with some of the best wildlife photographers in the world.

Perhaps I am overdoing it, but I think it is that good. Congratulations.

Thank you NMGal! I am smiling as the first word from my wife and several ladies have also said "adorable!" - no guys! You are the first lady from NM, though!

Adorable, adorable, adorable. Just goes to show...simple is better, almost always! It's a really nice photo showing Mom's and kid's relationship.
