Very Nice. I'd like to visit there some day
Master of the foreground at work, Jim!

Jim it was the eye of the master behind the camera to capture that awesome composition.

Beautiful rendering of a nicely balanced capture. Please stay well and keep on sharing.

Wait ... it just blinked. Great composition, Jim.
I could sit and admire that view for ever šš¤šš¤ā£ļø
Excellent capture, Jim, I didn't realize there were whales in the desert.
I like your picture of the Eye better than some I have taken, well done. I wonder what percent of ANP patrons have viewed the Eye of the Whale. It is only about a mile from Balanced Rock if my memory is correct.

Eye of the Whale is about 5.5 miles from Balanced Rock, first out the Willow Flat road then up the 4WD road to Herdina Park. No way to gauge how many park visitors get up there, but its relatively few because of the road. (Since you've been there, you'll know its impossible in a passenger car and easy with a 4WD vehicle.) I have seen hikers walking the road to or from there, but only rarely. In ordinary --i.e., non-Covid-- times, one of the commercial guide companies regularly takes groups of three or four up there, but only to the arch. Times I've hiked around elsewhere in Herdina Park, I've never seen track or trace of another human. Have seen mountain lion tracks, though. Like many of our 'landscape' Parks, there are huge --and really superb-- portions of Arches that people seldom see.
An unforgettable image. Thanks. . . .
