I am getting my popcorn ready for the show.

The show, unfortunately, will be a brilliant mind devolving into madness. Having read the truth in your previous posts, I know this is not a show you wish to watch.

I believe she is part of Qanon, which if not what caused her downfall, it certainly explains or is consistent with her current state of mind.

I'm not sure but you may be correct. However, I think it is more than that; I fear she suffered a psychotic break. It's not uncommon with the uber intelligent (and, she is clearly an very intelligent person). My daughter is one. Thankfully she has not suffered a psychotic break. She is amazing to enter into a discussion. (She got a 2345 in her SAT (when it advanced it to 2,400 maximum.) And for those that think I am exaggerating, you are wrong! It is better to have a happy child than an incredibly bright child (regardless of how much I love and respect her).

You sure you are thinking of the SAT? Or some other test. GRE, GMAT or such?

My daughter just got her scores and the max is 1600. SAT website confirms this.

First of all - CONGRATULATIONS to your daughter!!! My daughter just got her scores and the max is 1600. SAT website confirms this.

My daughter graduated from HS in 2011 and the SAT included an 800 point section on writing on a topic. I don't know if it still is part of the SAT or not. There was a secondary SAT focused on specific areas, she got an 800 in History. In the ACT she scored a 35. Believe me, I wish she was in a joyful relationship for her own happiness. I, and perhaps you, don't understand the issues that the Uber smart among us face. It is a terrible burden to be away from your peers.

I have my undergrad from Duke and my MBA from UNC. My daughter did a two year internship at the NIH and then went to Duke medical to pursue a PhD. She quit after getting her MS at Duke - PhD are post docs; admission ot "PI" stats is rare. Post Docs don't earn the money you would think and trump has made it worse. We have disincentivizing our upcoming scientists. We are in the position of Great Britain when they went through the "Brain Drain". We are losing to the Chinese, and that is DANGEROUS.

You would not believe the number of Chinese students in her class! I could say more but it would be lost among many here who don't care. This is no BS.

Today the essay is allotted a certain point max, but it is just part of the 800 max points for the English. Math has an 800 max also. They must have just tried out your daughter's test format for a few years. 1600 was the max when I went to high school as well...back in 1991! LoL Math skills purposefully lacking here.

My youngest is pretty bright too. Was inducted into the National Honor Society her junior year. She was not sure she wanted to take the SAT as most schools don't require it this year. So with no prep, at the last minute she decided to take it...1525 of 1600...like 96th percentile. She was disappointed in her math score!

She goes to one of the most academically rigorous high schools in the state and works her ass off. She gets some social and family time but I worry that the program is just too rigorous. But she wants to go to Johns Hopkins, Rice University, or Vanderbilt...in that order of preference. I do have to respect her work ethic and tell her so frequently. I always told I don't care what your grades are as long as you do your best. She has maintained all A's for three years and this year's first cycle. As parents, we don't even try to manage or watch her school work. Was not the case with the oldest daughter...she was not organized enough to look a week or two ahead and prioritize what needed to get done now. But she graduated the University last year, has a job she loves...and is off the payroll paying her own way through life already.

I went to Vanderbilt and Rice. I kinda hope the younger gets into Rice...they are very smart nerds, but the school has numerous quirky traditions to give the nerds some fun times.

2400 SAT VS 1600 SAT FAQ
HOW DOES THE 1600 SAT TEST THREE TOPICS IF THERE ARE ONLY TWO SCORES OUT OF 800?
The College Board has combined the Reading and Writing sections into one score out of 800 rather than having a separate score out of 800 for each. This is actually great news for students who have studied for the 2400 version of the SAT previously.

Please remember that this was 2011.

No worries, it has changed since I took the PSAT and SAT way back when! Do you have any idea how it feels to be third in a house of 3? Hell, I was a CIO when I retired but I was still third in raw intelligence! (You know what? I was happy being third - I feel lucky!)

Yes, there are many here who feel that way.

They all have a few traits on common, primarily the belief that they can lie with impunity.

I agree and that is why light needs to be shined on the election practices of the left. If you have nothing to hide then what is the problem?

I don't think much of Sidney Powell. Something happens to lawyers (e.g., Giuliani) when the start working for Trump.

It's all them shysters John, not just the ones working for Trump.

What do you have when you find 50,000 lawyers drowned at the bottom of the sea?

Ya got a hell of a good start

In that vein, Why are lawyers never the victims of a shark attack?
