Just out playing around with a Helios 44m 58mm f2, this lens is cheap and good and a ball to shoot. This lens loves light but does excellent on a cloudy day,

Johnny - Wonderful captures again with that Helios lens ! Some of those old lenses can still perform so very well and are really fun to shoot with.
Gotta get a Helios! Absolutely beautiful shots with your Helios, Johnny, and good to know that this lens also performs well in low light!!!!
Some beautiful captures in this series. Nicely rendered. I am curious about the comment regarding low-light performance. An f2 lens should be an excellent performer in low light....

Thank you Donna!!!! Some one like you would have a lot of fun with a lens like this, just remember focus peaking is a must in most cases and a heli close focus adaptor (30.00) is well worth the money.

Ourspolair, Thank you much, Yes f/2 is great in low light, but there is a characteristics of a lens that make it
stand out above others, some people like Donna knows what there looking for in a lens like that. a lot of people that shoot Lensbaby's understands what there looking for in a lens.
You talked about rendering, I tip my hat for you, you took the time to look and study the images, most people don't do that, most people look but if the subject mater doesn't fit there interest they stop looking.
A wise photographer will study images and see how Photographer, camera and lenses tic, this photographer is own it's way to to become really good. Again Thank you much Ourspolair!!!!!
