I've been using PE13 for several years. I don't recall if I bought the program in a box from a commercial establishment, or if I bought it online. Starting yesterday Adobe is effectively blocking my access to my photos because it wants me to buy PE13.
Question: Why do I need to buy PE13 when I had purchased it years ago? I know I'm missing something, but I don't know what. Any help/suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.
To provide more helpful ideas, we'll need you to better explain "blocking my access to my photos". None of us are there to see your computer and the error message(s) to understand this description of the problem.
What OS type? What can you not do?
PSE13 is unsupported software. But, you still might be able to get some help from Adobe technical support. Just sign into their site Adobe.com and then under the support menu, find the chat option. They'll have much the same questions about providing a more technically detailed explanation of your situation. But, if it's something as easy as updating a parameter or re-entering your license code, you may find the time spent on a chat is useful.
Be prepared too, that the day may have arrived to purchase an upgrade to their current PSE2020 software. I happily use PSE10 everyday. Over the years and multiple computer and OS changes, I've carefully retained the original install file and license key and all point-update install files. I only use the editor portion of the PSE10 software.

Are your photos on your computer or in Adobe's cloud? Can you access them through other software? It would help to post a screen shot of the message(s) you're getting.
Thanks for the replies. I'll go to the Adobe website and see if I can get them to assist me. I knew I could get someone here to point me in the direction I needed to go. Thanks again.

Georgia Jack oh oh, my PSE 13 disappeared from my program menu. When i went into "programs file" on C: it was there and in a file, I had exe.file would work but demanded a S#. Perhaps the latest W-10 update zapped it in the registry? I have a backup HD and the info may be there.... a dirty deed by MS and Adobe may be afoot. There is no profit in our using an older PSE!!
Hi Jack,
I wonder if Adobe is asking you to input the KEY that you got when you purchased Elements 13? Hopefully you saved it and can provide it... that should unlock any 'blocking' you speak of.
God Bless,
Papa Joe
Thanks! The individual galleries on the site are very good and tend to run heavily to nature and birds.
I ended up going with an upgrade to PE. Now, I've just got to work with the new version to get comfortable with it. Things are good......I'm still alive and kicking, so have no complaints really.
