Thank you all for the comments. In response to PixelStan's inquiry about technique, in Lightroom I significantly lowered the Texture and Clarity values to create the soft effect I wanted for this particular image.

I have used this technique many times in the past and love the look. I used to be a complete "sharpness" addict and eventually grew out of it (40 + years!). Great shot.

Nice feeling but so much of the grass in front is out of focus that I find it a little distracting.
