Thought I would try a long view of this man-made lake.

I had a ride on this lake in a speed boat in 1959. A long time ago. Then went on to have prawns and cockles.
Looking back they were good old days. Brian.
Hi Brian - it has lost some of it's charm since then - litter louts are a problem and late night drinkers in the Summer - still a pleasant feature in Southport and 3/4 years ago it had a major refurbishment, including the so-called Kings Gardens which surround the lake.
Nicely done. Love the geometry of the shot.
Great shot. I stayed at a hotel there that featured mock murder mysteries to solve. Don't remember the name of the hotel but my stay in Southport was wonderful. Ver nice town.

Unfortunately this appears to be the way the future is going. I still enjoyed your picture of the lake which brought back happy memories. Thankyou for posting. Brian.
