Trying to share photos with email. Going through all the steps until the last one. Asks for my password. I type in the password for Adobe. They reject it. Any ideas what I should do next? Do I have to buy a new version of Photoshop Elements?
You can send photos as an attachment to your email. No need to upgrade your photo editing software for that.
Open email program, click the attach icon (usually a paperclip), navigate to your file, double-click. Wait for it to attach. Write email, send 😀
Most email systems no longer allow Adobe to communicate with the email software, especially older and unmaintained software like PSE14. The changes started about 2 years ago as various softwares tightened against spam and similar 'unauthorized' access to email. Your best bet is to 'save as' to a JPEG file. Then, compose your email in your email tool and attach the JPEG and send.
If you need help on how to create an image file best sized for an email attachment, this post includes a lengthy discussion followed by screen prints of 'how', including a PSE example:

This is what I do, but depending on your e-mail client and your file sizes, you may have to reduce your image size.
I use "Copy new file" to create a JPEG(s) to a "For emailing" folder, then use my email to attach and send the file(s). I have Gmail and another email provider and neither one plays well with Elements.
Following up, I use Outlook 365 as my e-mail client. While I can usually send two to four full size images, there is a megabyte limit, so I usually create a folder on a flash drive to hold images I am going to e-mail; resize if necessary (I use Irfanview for this), then e-mail or post to Facebook from that folder.
If your attachment is too large and you don't want to resize, use Google Drive, Dropbox, or We Transfer..or create a link in Google Photos. You can also create albums in Google Photos and Dropbox.

It was so interesting to read Paul.....thank you again sir. You are wise beyond your youth and a great asset to this community.
Try your Outlook password. PSE 2020 uses Outlook to share images, and I believe previous versions did too. Note: if Outlook is not already installed and set up on your computer, this foto share function may not be usable in PSE. That is the case for me; an Outlook setup issue that I have not solved prevents me from using this sharing function. Good luck!
