Remember the story that the media ran a week or two ago about how Trump supposedly refused to visit a cemetery in Normandy (I think it was), saying the soldiers buried there were "losers" or some such? That was supposedly "reported by somebody who was there," too, somebody who I don't think was ever named. Aside from being completely inconsistent with the way Trump had treated the military as far back as anybody who knew him could remember, lots of other people with real names who actually WERE there, including some serious Trump enemies, promptly stepped up and said it never happened.

This is more of the same. Trump has been brutal in calling out politicians and giving them names they don't like. But he does NOT call groups of ordinary American citizens unflattering names (except perhaps for folks like the rioters currently burning down selected cities around the country.) He's trying to GET votes, not alienate voters, anywhere and everywhere he goes these days. Unlike other politicians, who while on the campaign trail have, say, labelled millions of Americans across the country as "deplorables." THAT was done in front of the cameras, though, so there's no disputing that it was actually said.

The media learned from their fabricated Trump/cemetery story not to be too specific as to time and place when they create these stories. I didn't see any details in this one - just an allegation that it was said to some group somewhere sometime, so nobody can step up and say "I was there and this is BS." Sadly, we can expect to see more of it for at least the next few weeks.

And if you do a Google search using “these disgusting people Trump” there are at least 11 independent news sources reporting and verifying the story.
It takes a great deal of denial to maintain it is inaccurate. The explanation always comes down to “disgruntled former employee” or “dark state conspiracy”.
Finally, why condemn the messenger (Jerry) instead of the message.
