Has anyone here tried Comcast and what has your experience been?

We have been with Verizon for as long as I can remember and have experienced their creeping fee increases over the years. Comcast is offering a 5 line plan with 1.2 TB of data for $60./month which is a lot cheaper than I'm currently paying Verizon with all the discounts they offer. Comcast claims their coverage is the same as Verizon and even piggy backs on some of Verizon's towers.

Would like to hear what others know or experienced.

I've averaged about $6.00/month with TracFone for the past few years. I used to pay Verizon $168/month. I buy phones for under $100.

And now, Verizon is in the process of buying Tracphone but it'll take a year or so for the deal to be completed.

We have two phones and a tablet on Verizon ($100 w/taxes).
Been a customer for years, excellent coverage, no desire to switch.

When our rates start creeping up, I call a couple of other providers and get quotes that are almost always lower.
Then I call my provider and tell them I want to cancel, because I can get a better price from their competitor. Somehow, they seem to always match the lower price. THEY want to play games with pricing? I can play the same game!

Agree -
Two reasons for keeping Verizon -
1: It's the only reliable coverage we can get at our house in rural Kansas - we've tested them all, and
2: We like to go camping and have found that we normally have coverage when other folks at the campsites that are using other carriers do not have coverage...

I wasn’t a fan of Verizon because I thought they were arrogant.
Last time I spoke to them I got a great, senior citizen plan.
Unlimited data on 2 iPhones & an iPad, insurance & free Disney + for a year. About $150/month.
Best coverage in the NY Metro area.

Pretty much everyone I talked to.
There was no price competition. “It’s our way or the highway.”
The only reason I switched from T-Mobile which I was one of the earliest in NYC to adopt, was because I was teaching a computer class at Purchase College and couldn’t get a signal while all my students were talking all the time...on Verizon.
I like Verizon now.

VZW does have great coverage.

the folks at the local XFinity store told me that XFinity mobile uses Verizon towers; I switched and have not seen a degradation of service (but an extreme lowering of cost)

I had Verizon and switched to Xfinity. I can’t tell any difference. I had the triple play, paid for the phone and my cell phone bill is $14.00 per month because I use very little data. Even if I didn’t have cell phone I would still have Xfinity triple because it’s the best coverage in my area.

I have been with Verizon since it was Ameritech, I have had fantastic (while a bit expensive) service and connectivity. I moved to a more rural location in Jan 2019 and I had a good connection until last March when I noticed I had to be in certain places in my home or outdoors , now I virtually no service outdoors, and indoors I usually have be on wifi. After contacting Verizon many time to see what had happened I was told "Well things change" my response was you're damn right they do, as much as I dislike At&t when they get their new tower finished and if I can get a better connection I will switch.
With this I was switched to a diff. agent they sent me a signal booster free of charge but told me It may or may not help.
I then found out cell providers can take a tower out of service at anytime for any reason, then customers in that area are screwed.

We've used the Xfinity phone, TV & Internet bundle for about 5 years, now. Their service and costs are about the same as Verizon or other similar companies. Their customer service is typically slow (long hold times when calling) and seems rather inept. Twice they mailed me a wrong box and remote I had to mail back. Also typical, is their initial low ball offer to get you to switch, that increases dramatically, each year. They do have some good on-line troubleshooting and repair services but if they don't work, it's back to customer service miseries.

I agree. Comcast's strategy is to reel you in with attractive rates and then, over time, invoke "rate creep".
