That wouldn't fool me. I haven't had a TV since July of 2001. I don't seem to miss it either.

Dropped TV 13 years ago, still have a flat panel TV and lots of great old movies, but rarely even watch those. One of my better decisions, don't miss it at all. My adult children have gone the same route. Interesting to me is that when in a business that has the TV going, how much it catches the eye - habit left from years past .

I have to agree with Jerry ... once you get a coupe of layers down in YouTude you can find some really good stuff ... right now I really like 'The History Guy" and "Absolute History" (a Brit show) ... don't miss the cable at all ...

yep , you are right , some nice educational stuff , also car stuff .people who dont watch TV are missing out .you just chose what you like .

I learned how to detail my car from YouTube, how to prune blueberry bushes and grow blackberries, how to drive a Tesla, how to do resistance training with bands, and many other useful things from YouTube. You just have to watch a lot in order to distinguish the bad from the good advice.

it seems that I get stuck on one thing, and I stay with it for a while. On YouTube, I've been watching plane crash investigations, science-related topics, and history-related topics. There are even full-length older movies. Amazing.
The Flight Channel, 74Gear, Mentour, The History Guy, among others. Watching a video will prompt YouTube to show others that are similar.

With the cost of cable going up(what not going up?) I may have to cut back on TV, Internet, and phone use.

There are quite a few good shows on History, ID, H&I, TCM and a couple of others. As long as you avoid the liberal leftist channels and shows it's pretty good.

I just can't imagine that! Although, I don't watch the 3 networks as much as other channels.

History CH. is a joke. All this trash about ET and when it does have something about history, I find mistake just in the first five mins. of the program. Put the History Ch. in the trash can of history.
