Boy! Am I glad you pointed out that it was not a Manatee. I was very confused. You take some pretty darn good pictures, did you know that? If you don't mind, I am going to post the only picture I have ever taken of an eagle in my life. I shot this a month ago while in Eureka Springs. Purely an accidental catch.

Great shots. I'm envious. I especially like #3 and #5. I was in Alaska about 10 years ago, but didn't have a good camera at the time. I saw all kinds of eagles... so beautiful. The sharpness looks good and the subject is great... I love the picture of the babies in the nest.

Elaine, just new here but after just taking some photos of eagles myself, wanted to let you know that just south of you at the conowingo dam in maryland, there are tons of them. I went down over the weekend, but it is a 5 hour drive from where I live, but it was certainly worth the trip. Google Conowingo dam in maryland and maybe you could be lucky enough to go there. It was such a rush....

Here's a couple more...The last one is VERY poor quality, but it was one of the first shots I ever got, and he took me by surprise!

Same thing happened to me this summer in AK. Had my Canon SD 1400 P&S on overcast days. Lots of eagles...poor pictures. That's why I bought a new camera.

NOT poor quality. A good shot an eagle earning a living. Very different angle.

Tracy, totally awesome photos. I like the last one best. The look in her eyes as she guards her babies speaks volumes. Great job.
