While working on some images yesterday, I went to Sharpen in the hopes of rescuing a cute photo. The update screen appeared- yes or no-. I selected Yes. The procedure worked as before until the end when the app told me that it could not add to the existing file because of an issue with Permissions. DeNoise did the same thing. Contacted Topaz. They e-mailed back this long procedure that involved deleting Sharpen and DeNoise. The email has links with updated files. Did not work stating that Permissions were not working. Confirmed I am the administrator-no one else. Still does not work. No word today from Topaz.
Anyone else have this issue?
I updated DeNoise AI, Sharpen AI, and Mask AI yesterday all went well.
It take about two hours but well worth it.

I wish my experience was the same as yours. Nothing from Topaz as yet.

No problems with mine - but I did get the update notice twice this week. But both went well and quickly - less than five minutes each.

Still nothing from Topaz.
Have you advised Topaz that the solution they sent you did not work. I had to report a problem with the Denoise plugin for Lightroom on Friday 10:52 am. I had a reply with a solution from Topaz at 01:55 am.
As I live in the UK I didn't action their solution until the following day and it worked. I then notified them the update they sent me had worked and we closed the ticket at 08:19 am Saturday morning.
Generally I find with Topaz if you report a problem they action it pretty quickly. But that's my own personal experience.
No problems with my DeNoise update yesterday. I run DeNoise as LR plugin, and that configuration was not affected by the update.

My problem was that DeNoise was sending back to Lightroom the original file without any of the denoising that had been done. This was also true for Sharpen AI.
So Topaz issued a new update to both of them,
DeNoise AI 2.2.9
Sharpen AI 2.1.5

What operating system are you using? I'm on win 10 and no problem with AI Sharpen.

I'm using Windows 10, i7-6700 CPU, 16 GB Memory.
I just completed updating Topaz Sharpen AI, DeNoise AI, and Mask AI in <1 hour with no issues.
Best wishes,

Had an issue with the update. Went to Control Panel, Programs and uninstalled it. Then opened Explorer and went to Program files and Program data and deleted the folders for the app. Then deleted the install file from Downloads. Rebooted system, downloaded the install file from Topaz. Closed web browser and went to downloads folder. Right click on installer file and select Run as Administrator. Everything ran fine and no more problems. Hope this helps.
Thanks for letting me know updates were available. There were updates for Mask AI, Sharpen AI and Gigapixel AI. I didn't have any problems with the updates.

Nope, every update has worked every time for Topaz products on my iMac.
Sharpen A.I. & Denoise A.I. are tools that I use almost daily.

Win 10. The problem was with using it as a Lightroom plugin. Just like Denoise. once you used Sharpen, the file returned back to Lightroom wouldn't show the sharpening you had done
