What violations would those be?
Truth and fact only please.
The Hatch Act says that a government official can't use their office for commercial gain or political purposes.
During the RNC:
- Pence held a rally at Fort McHenry National Park. It was closed for the day, and not avaiable for private parties. The only way they could have gotten it, was through abuse of presidental power, so -- Violation.
- Similarly, the White House is not available for private parties. Trump could use it as part of his official duties as president (like a state dinner), but accepting the nomination isn't an official duty, so -- Violation. (The "offical" justification for this was that it would be dangerous covid-wise to bring the President and the full Secret Service entourage required to a remote location --- and then they blow that by having Trump show of at Pence's speech at Fort McHenry)
- The interviews with people in NYC housing projects were conducting by his housing director as part of her official duties, but expressly for the RNC, so --- Violation. Also, they weren't told they were being used as an endorsement of Trump, which was also illegal.
- Then there was the swearing of the new citizens. Official duty, so it can't be part of the RNC --- Violation. Further, they also weren't told they would be used in an endorsement of Trump, so also illegal. Finally, the SCOTUS has just held the Chad Wolf, who administrered the oath, cannot illegally be the acting secretary of Homeland Security, so the whole thing was illegal.
I could go on with others (Pompeo, Conway, et al), but I think even you can get the point.
If a democratic president had done ANY of those, you'd rightly be screaming for his impeachment, because every one shows an unprecedented level of official corruption.
BTW, the technical name for corruption like that is "the Swamp" -- deeper than ever under Trump.
