Fun start for the day. Thanks KT :-)

I use a Sawzall with a hacksaw blade. Sometimes a Skillsaw with a diamond cutter
I had a stuck filter for over 2 years. Last week, I got a tip to take the lens, put it in a ziplock bag and leave it in the freezer for about 30 secs. Afterwards, with a good filter wrench, that thing came off right away!
Send the lens and camera to me at my undisclosed mail box and I remove it for free

Looks like a “wrenching” approach, but sure success. A friend of about 50 yrs in Omaha would just use a hammer. But Gary uses a hammer for damn near everything. Even appears on his license plate on his C4 Vette convertible!

Just buy a new lens and help the economy, and of course another filter you can't get off yet again.

It helps to put a 26 inch length of pvc pipe on that handle; makes the turning much easier.

Last used lens I bought with a stuck filter also came with the filter removal tool - a wide rubber band wrapped around it.
Posted just in time. I got a filter stuck as we talk. Going to the hardware store to buy a vice and wrench. Thanks.
You could also heat it up with a torch 😊

I've always believed in the sledgehammer mechanic's creed, "If it doesn't work the first time get a bigger hammer." In this case substitute pipe wrench for hammer.
In the old days we called that an Italian speed wrench.

Your process looks a little crude--have you considered explosives?
Monty Python had a sketch on the use of explosives to treat tooth decay. The results were something like 10 cured, 20 dead and 25 missing presumed cured.

...but I bet all the tooth decay was gone, right?
