I ran into the same problem. We downsized 3 years ago this coming Oct. I told my wife you can pick the house but I must have a 360 view of the night sky and PLEASE do not move any closer to the city. Our HOA did not allow any outbuildings when we moved here - so I had the platform built with enough room for two piers and one tripod....will I have now added a fourth. The Telegizmos work to perfection. Had I built an observatory - it would have only housed 1 kit so this works just fine! All of our neighbors have been very supportive about the scopes ...i have hosted several star parties and welcome one and all to come and check out the night sky.

Smokey here.
362 fires in Kelpafornia.
Last night I could see a few brights towards the South, but nothing Northward.
This morning was ash on everything.
Ahhh, Brushfire Season!
And it's headed to a State near you!
