This is a great series. My blue heron, posted recently, didn't have the same work ethic and gave up the swallowing attempt.

It amazes me that they would eat these. I don't know if this species has the spikes in all of its fins like the ones we have here in Colorado, but if it does, I always think they would stab/poke them inside.

Excellent story telling series. Those fish have spines in their fins so it must be a tricky business to position it just right.

They amaze me too, and yes they do have spikes!
