The place near Pike Market where the wall is covered with chewing gum.

I live in the Seattle area - so I should know the answer to this - but I don't.
I have a friend who is a guitar player visiting from out of town and I want to do a portrait session (with guitar) with him.
I want to do something non-touristy (no Space Needle shots) - maybe even a little "gritty." I was thinking of old train stations, old hotels under renovation, cool alleyways, rough construction sites...... Can be indoors or outdoors.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help.

How do you feel about boarded up storefronts?

If you want "gritty," head downtown and shoot the public disorder with a long lens from a safe (if there is such a thing anymore) distance.

Cheers!

Try the Seattle Underground tour. There are a lot of funky scenes you could do there. You even get to see some of the old Speakeasies down there.
I don’t have a link for the tour, just do a search.
PS. Ignore the trolls.

I don’t live there but the chewing gum wall is about as gritty as you get and weirdly photogenic. I can’t tell you where it is but it is scary pushing (pulling back) a wheel chair down the hill to it.

What about Gasworks Park? I haven't been there for a number of years, but I found it photographically when I was there.
