I am intrigued by the Df. How large quality prints can You make from it?

Thanks

I've made excellent 20x30 enlargements from a 12MP D3S, and the Df is 16MP.

I have two Df bodies. I prefer a knob over a menu. More manual control is much more fun. I can also use my ancient lenses from my mid 60s Nikon F days which won't work on a new Digital body. You can have them when you pry them from my cold dead hands. Or, make a good offer.

As for image quality, the Df has the same sensor as Nikon's then top professional camera, the D4. I have seen HUGE blow-up prints from D4 so go with confidence.

I posted a thread here after purchasing my Df and a few vintage Nikon lenses stating much the same regarding a return to manual photography, if you know what we’re talking about no explanation is required.

I bought mine, I confess, because it looked very much like the very first camera I ever owned (Nikon FM). I keep and use it because the images are beautiful, the camera is, compared to my other Nikons, smaller and lighter, and it can be set-up to function as a fully Auto DSLR or a completely manual one or anything in between. Plus, it is kinda cool all the comments I get from strangers who think I am still shooting film.

I have mine since 2013, my first Nikon was the Nikon Ftn and Nikkormat. I am using all my old Nikkor lenses on my Df. It is lighter, smaller than the other Nikon DLSRs, and the shutter is quieter also. Oh yes, I was asked several time by some body if I was using film, that was cool!

Any way if you don't see the Df interesting then don't bother criticize it. It wasn't meant for you.

If you, or "your friend", have to ask, you won't understand the answer.

Aimlessly wandering around Nikon's today site I settled on the Df page. Just wondering what the attraction of this camera is. It's an analog DSL as far as I can tell and am scratching my head as to why it's made? Nostalgia? Or is there a real purpose for it? Asking for a friend.

“analog DSL?” What’s that supposed to mean??

I would have a Df if their resale want so high.

Digital is analog and film is digital.

Just amazing, I suppose not in these times, that a camera can be polarizing (no pun intended). People who own and use the DF love it. Those who don't, and therefore can't understand its appeal, have to denigrate it! Mind boggling!

Many people don’t get a ROLEX, and there’s nothing wrong with that, while people who appreciate mechanical things do.
