Every year I await the arrival of the Queen Anne's Lace because there is usually one of the flowers
that are different. And so it is once again.

We have queen annes lace here in north central Pa, but we also have a weed that looks very similar and grows to 7 and 8 feet tall. It grows along side our rural roads and am told it is extremely toxic, to never touch it with bare skin as it may cause severe burns. If one wishes to cut down it is recommended to ware protective clothing and to wash clothing as so as finished.
You may be thinking of Giant Hogweed.

Yes that is what they call it, in the early stage of growth it is hard to tell them apart.
