Well Disney has to make some money to honor the deal they made with Colin Kaepernick.

Well to each their own. My wife and I are in our 60's and we love Disney. We have gone to Disney in Orlando at least once, most times twice, for the last 20 years. We love the festivals and other entertainment spread throughout all the parks. We are Disney timeshare owners and have enjoyed every stay. Disney is in a constant state of change adding and changing attractions and improving on other aspects. It is never static.

We even like it so much that I went to work at Disney after I retired. While I am on furlough now due to the Covid virus, if called back I would go in a minute. Our plans now include finding a vacation home somewhere near Disney to spend our winters there.

Is it expensive? Yes, it can be without proper planning. Buying multiple day tickets in advance and adding food plans can cut the cost down a lot. Going to Disney on the spur of the moment is almost always a bad idea. In good times, the lines will be long and frustrating. With proper planning Disney is no more expensive than other vacations, unless you are like the Grisworlds and just want to visit the world largest ball of string or camp in crappy tents.

It is interesting. We meet quite a few young couples with kids that tell us that THEIR parents were too cheap or anti-Disney to take them when they were young so they never got to go. Now with their kids they are not going to deny them the experience and enjoy it as much as the kids do.

Whoop-De-Doo for you! Can't argue with the deaf, dumb, and blind! Disney is FUBAR!!! Raping the public is their forte! Walt is crying!!!

In actuality, $30 to see a movie, kids or adults is reasonable anymore. Driving to the theater, buying tickets, and getting snacks for a family of four can cost upwards of $50, often more. Staying home, watching in your jammies, home made snacks, not driving to a cinema and avoiding the crowds (and the coronavirus) is to me worth saving the extra. And it is more comfortable.

I no longer go to the theater. I watch on Netflix. About a movie a night.

You can buy the DVD for $13.99 on Amazon and watch it as many times as you want.

That's for the 1998 cartoon. Here we are talking about the new live-action version, which would be opening in theaters right now if theaters were open.

So next year it would start at $19.99 for the DVD and $24.99 for the BlueRay and rapidly go down until it hits the $14.99 price. And in 2022 it would be a two disc pack of DVD & BlueRay for $20 at Costco/Sam's etc.

I refuse to spend any money on any Disney product. They are so bad on so many levels. Once Michael Eisner left it was the beginning of the end. About 10 years ago they had their worst attendance numbers in Orlando. They quickly raised the entrance fees less a year after the report. Pure genius. They pay all in park employees minimum wage. Actors, characters, singers store personel are included. The one exception I learned that they paid their bus drivers $14 an hr in 2008 due to their union. They don't offer any housing or meal discounts to their employees. If foreign tourists stopped coming they would close the gates. Just my opinion.

Disney brought in only $11.8 billion this past year, and they're getting panicky. That's little more than half of what they usually take in. They will be releasing Mulan on Disney+, which costs about $5.00/mo. Once you sign up with Disney+, you'll have the opportunity to pay $29.99 to watch Mulan. I wonder how annoying the kids will have to get to force their parents to fork out $30 so they can watch a movie.

I don't understand paying $30 to download and watch a movie when you can buy the DVD/BluRay and have it sitting on the shelf to watch whenever and as many times a you want.

Although it does cost over $120 for a one-day admission, Disneyland provides a lot of entertainment in an all-day experience. Compare it to a major concert, stage play, sporting event, NASCAR race etc. that run for an hour or two, and the value looks pretty good.

With 2 or 3 children, souvenirs and housing it's a lot more than any concert I've been to. Just saying.

NASCAR is much cheaper!!! Even at LVMS!!!!
The current Disney franchise can FOAD as far as I'm concerned!!! Your CrappyComparison doesn't hold water! Disney sucks!!! PERIOD!!! Only prepubescent teens and sissies would find any use for Disney's BovineExcrement!

I read if they cut the CEO's and all the VP's salaries in half tickets would only be twelve dollars a day.

Last time I went was 11years ago. It must have been reasonable if I could afford it.
Got the package deal room admission food.

Horrific as is sounds, the covid-19 could make that a reality? I surly hope it doesn't come to that, hard for me to imagine anyone having to scraping by on a measly $100,000 a day.

Once upon a time, late last century, my wife and I worked in Aerospace/Tech industries.
We'd get a tract on discount days. Disney: Off season, night time, no food, reserved.
Imagine going on a ride, and only waiting for the next set to finish before you start!
Space Mountain- 2 per seat, and skipped a seat. (that's 4, instead of 9) It was *fast*.
We'd all look at each other- wide wild eyed- and get back on.
Knotts Berry Farm- 2 weeks after Halloween, all day. They'd practice new material on us.
That was then. New regulations, new management, new policies. It all went away. All.
We went to Disney once after that. Done.
>If foreign tourists stopped coming they would close the gates. <
And the Corps. Like stadium seats. Costs big money, just another write off. Backs get scratched.
